Stogumber Village Hall

Stogumber Village Hall is on Station Road next to the school. The post code is TA4 3TQ.

It boasts a large main room with a stage and lighting equipment, which can be available for hire, suitable for a variety of uses such as:

Dances - Meetings - Concerts - Exhibitions - Recreation - Private Parties - Plays

It also has a well-equipped kitchen allowing for the serving of dishes ranging from a simple cup of tea to a full three course meal. Comfortable chairs and excellent tables add to the dining experience making this a superb venue for private parties and receptions. It has a reception lobby and full toilets as well as central heating and wifi throughout.

There is a large outside terrace opening off the hall with glorious views towards the Quantocks and access to the playing fields below. There is also ample parking near at hand both in the hall's own tarmaced car park and on the road outside. Access for the elderly and disabled is easy.

The Hall also has an additional room (The Beacon Room) which can be booked through the Booking Secretary.

These charges include unlimited wifi.
If you want to run a bar, the Village Hall is licensed for the sale of wine, beer, cider, and spirits. A fee of £20 will be charged if these are sold.
A deposit may be charged at the discretion of the Committee. This will be refunded if no damage or breakages have occurred.

The hall is used by a variety of village groups including:

  • The School
  • Table Tennis Club
  • Pilates
  • St Mary's Church
  • After School Club
  • Community Lunch for the over 60s (picture on right)

Stogumber Village Hall is a registered charity the day to day management of which is undertaken by a Committee which runs a variety of fund raising activities through the year including:

  • Breakfasts every six weeks or so
  • Occasional Suppers
  • Wine & Wisdom Evenings
  • Annual Wassail and Barn Dance
  • Village Fete
